Cordelia Knott Birthday Celebration

Save the Date!
On Saturday, January 23rd at 3:00 we will be celebrating the life of Cordelia Knott with a special storytime and birthday celebration. This special storytime will feature Christiane Salts, the author of Cordelia Knott: Pioneering Business Woman. Mrs. Salts will be performing the life story of Mrs. Knott in a way that children can learn about the influence Mrs. Knott has had on Buena Park. In celebration of Mrs. Knott's 120th birthday we will be serving birthday cake & punch and having a door prize drawing for adults. Winners of the Mrs. Knott Coloring Contest will be announced and their prizes will be awarded.
The refreshments and prizes are being supplied by Knott's Berry Farm and the Salts family.

Coloring Contest

Children ages 2 to 12 are invited to participate in the Cordelia Knott Coloring Contest. Pick-up your coloring sheet in the Children's Room, do your best coloring, and return it by 5:00 Friday, January 22nd. Winners will be announced at the Cordelia Knott Birthday Celebration on Saturday, January 23rd.

Read-to-Me Reading Program

The Buena Park Library District's Read-to-Me Reading Program is for children five years and younger to stress the importance of reading to young children. Parents who read 25 picture books to their child will be entered into a drawing and may win four Knott's Berry Farm tickets. Children who complete the program may choose a prize from the reading prize box. The reading program begins on January 2nd and will continue until February 6th. Pick-up a reading log in the children's room and Start Reading!
